These neclaces are made of wooden beads covered with lacquer .being made of halemara wood they are very light weight. Lacquer colors are used to give a bright glass like shine and are food grade as well, which makes them ideal for kids also. Lacquerware is a craft done mainly by people in ramnagaram district of Karnataka, which is the only source of livelihood for these rural artisans.
